Cleanse The Liver, Clear The Skin!

Always Clean Out The Liver To Clean The Skin.

Liver Skin Connection

When The Liver Is Inflamed And Impaired In Its Function, So Is Your Skin And Your Mind.

As The Largest Eliminative Organ Of The Body, The Skin Must Be Cared For Like Any Other Vital Organ… Internally First!

The Skin’s Function

The skin has many functions. Obviously, the skin offers protection from the outer environment and parasitic conditions. It regulates the body temperature through the blood vessels and sweat glands. The skin is also the largest sensory organ, expressing both internal and external sensations.

Most Importantly, The Skin Is Supposed To Eliminate As Much Bodily Wastes Each Day As The Kidneys, Bowels And Lungs.

However, when the liver, bowels and lymphatic system are backed up (usually from foods ingested that congest and inflame the system), the skin becomes overburdened as the body attempts to eliminate the toxins, chemicals, mucus and/or harmful parasites. On top of it, when the thyroid is weak it becomes more difficult to sweat. This inhibits proper elimination through the skin even more. These are the most common causes of skin dis-eases that exist today. Psoriasis and skin cancer being the most toxic and parasitically involved of all the skin dis-eases.

Always Remember That The Thyroid And Liver Are Related To The Skin, So Detoxify The Liver And Keep The Thyroid Functioning Properly To Ensure Healthy Skin.

A living, raw food diet is highly cleansing and strengthening to the liver and skin.

Raw fruits and vegetables alkalize and dissolve fatty deposits in the skin and liver (stones). These foods also enhance the function of your thyroid gland and increase body heat and elimination through your skin.

*Liver/Gallbladder Flush*

(This Information Is For Educational Purposes And Is Not Intended To Diagnose Or Treat Any Conditions)

Items Needed:

  1. 8-ounces of pure, cold-pressed, extra virgin organic olive oil.
  2. 6- to 8-ounces of freshly squeezed (if possible) pink grapefruit juice or
    the juice of 2 lemons.
  3. Freshly squeezed apple juice (enzymes assist with reducing nausea).

Suggested Preparation:
Three days of eating mainly raw fruits and vegetables (organic preferred).

One 8-ounce glass of freshly juiced apple juice in the morning and one in the evening, for three days.

Three days of bowel detoxification. Use an intestinal cleansing formula, with formula strength depending upon your bowel regularity. Use a gentle formula if bowels move at least one time daily; a moderate strength formula if bowels move at least once in a two-day period; and a strong formula for bowels that resist regular movement. In lieu of herbal detoxification, an individual may choose to take an enema one-day prior to the flush. It is important that your bowels are moving well.

**NOTE: No solid foods should be consumed after noontime on the day of the flush (fresh fruit juices or distilled water are acceptable).

Directions

  1. Stop all fluid intake at 6:30 P.M., or thirty minutes before the flush is started.
  2. Begin the flush before bed between 7:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M., or as you wish.
  3. Mix or blend 8-ounces of olive oil with 6 to 8 ounces of pink grapefruit
juice or the juice of two lemons.
  4. Consume at a rate that best suits you. You may wish to consume it all at one time, or you may consume 1/4 cup every 15 minutes, or you may drink it even more slowly.
  5. After the olive oil is consumed you should retire for the evening, lying on your right side.

Considerations
If nausea and/or vomiting sensations are experienced, the olive oil/citrus juice mixture can be chased with small amounts of freshly-made apple juice. Resume consumption of the mixture as soon as possible. If the feeling of nausea continues, consume only as much of the mixture as you possibly can, then go right to bed, lying on your right side.

Watch stools for stones. Stones are usually green, but may be yellow, red or black. Stones range from a pea-size to that of a quarter, or larger. Most liver or gallbladder stones are soft in nature, as they are lipid/bile stones.

With degenerative problems, the liver and gallbladder flush should be supervised by a health care professional.

Allergies and Allergic Reactions

It is not uncommon for a person to suffer from allergies during the warmer months, I’ve had to get a grip on them myself!Allergies can come in many forms, but particularly in the summer Hay Fever, Hives, Rashes and Insect-Sting Allergies are common.

Natural Remedies For Allergies

  • Add extra calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, and zinc into your diet
  • Add grapefruit, orange, strawberries or prunes into your diet for added bioflavonoids that help the body utilize vitamin C more efficiently.
  • Fish oil capsules daily for essential fatty acids that have anti-inflammatory properties.
  • A teaspoon of grated orange or lemon peel in honey for hay fever
  • Bee Pollen
  • Honeycomb is a desensitizing and anti-allergen substance for hay fever. Eat before symptoms show to build immunity before pollen season. Chew the wax for about 10-15 mins before spitting it out.
  • Licorice- root water (do not take licrorice root is you have high blood pressure or kidney problems)
  • Fengugreek-seed tea
  • Vitamin- rich watercress is said to be an anti-allergen
  • Eat an organic banana a day (unless of course you are allergic) for some added potassium
  • Avoid processed foods, Sugar, Dairy, and wheat when possible

Allergic Reaction Relief:

  • Take a cool bath or apply a cold compress. Cold shrinks the blood vessels and blocks further release of histamine.
  • Make a paste with a few drops of water and baking soda and rub on skin to help stop irritation and relieve the itching.

Dry Skin Relief

Bug Bites
You know how the saying goes… They bite you because you’re sweet! Well there is some truth to this old saying. Studies have shown that people who regular consume sugars and alcoholic drinks tend to draw mosquitoes to them. The color blue has been known to attract mosquitoes.

Natural Remedies For Bug Bites

  • Add Vitamin B1 Thamine to your diet, especially before heading out.
  • Clean the bite, if water is unavailable apply saliva to the bite. Then equal mixture of one of the following with water:
  • lemon or lime juice and vinegar
  • Aloe Vera
  • Baking soda and water paste
  • Basil
  • Eucalypus
  • Garlic
  • Honey
  • Lavender
  • Lemongrass
  • Thyme
  • Peppermint
  • Stings

Insect stings

Insect stings can be quite bothersome and sometime the stinger is even left in the skin. DO NOT squeeze the insect if still attached to the stinger simply flick it off and scrape (not tweeze or pull) the stinger from the skin.

Natural Remedies For Stings

  • Baking soda and vinegar
  • Honey
  • Grated Horseradish Root
  • Garlic crushed
  • Lavender Oil
  • Plantin juice (Plantago major, broad leaf and Plantago lanceolata, long leaf)
  • Potato slices raw
  • Onion slices raw
  • Vinegar and lemon or lime juice
  • Vitamin E

Sunburn

First understand that Sunburn is caused by a nutritional deficiency of vitamin D and melanin. Insufficient amounts of Vitamin D has been linked to an increased risk of type 1 diabetes, muscle and bone pain, cancers of the skin, breast, colon, prostate, ovaries, esophagus, and lymphatic system. Aside from the common knowledge that Melanin determines skin color, Melanin also protects against the Ultra-Violet Rays of the Sun that result in DNA mutations. Despite claims, a vast majority of commercial Sunscreen Products directly promote a deficiency in vitamin D and also contain numerous toxic and carcinogenic ingredients.

Natural Remedies For Sunburn

  • For immediate relief, take a HOT yes Hot shower. Hot water desensitizes the skin providing fast relief to burns. (Not recommended for second degree burns with broken or blistered skin start with cold water)
  • Apply cool raw slices of cucumber, apple or potato skin.
  • Apply fresh cool aloe vera gel from the plant. (stick to the natural source, many products contain toxic additives with the aloe vera juices and gels)
  • Burned eyelids: fresh herbal teabags soaked in cool water.
  • Apply Organic Raw Honey

Some oils are also very drying by themselves so make sure you have done your research on the oils your are using before oil cleansing. Depending on the type of oils you are using and how many you are using, experiment with small batches using a teaspoon or two of each oil working up to bigger measurements. Adjust the ratio as needed when you see how your skin responds to different oils.  Some common oils used are castor oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, safflower, hazelnut and almond oil.

How To Oil Cleanse:

  1. On a dry face, massage a quarter size amount of the oil blend into your hand and onto the skin using smooth circular motions for at least one to two minutes or until you are sure that the oil has saturated your skin. This will also remove make-up very effectively, so there is no need to remove make-up first. You can even leave the oil on the skin for up to 10 minutes for a deep cleaning.
  2. If washing face at the sink or with a bowl place a clean washcloth in hot water until it is completely soaked anquickly wring it out. Open it and place the steaming wash cloth on your face. This will allow the oil to work with the steam and remove any impurities in and on the skin. Leave the wash cloth on for about a minute, or until it cools. Repeat if needed by wetting the wash cloth and using the other side.
If steaming face in the shower, remain in the shower with the oil on the face until the very end of the shower.
  3. Use the washcloth to gently whip the oil off the face. A thin layer of oil on the skin will remain so no moisturizer will be needed, but you may add some more Gaia’s Gold Herbal Body Butter or another all natural moisturizer for added moisture and protection.
